Numerology
Two systems with different letter values and different rules about what reduces. Mixing them is the one way this can be quietly wrong, and it happens constantly.
The tables are not interchangeable
Pythagorean assigns 1–9 cyclically through the alphabet and keeps the master numbers 11, 22 and 33 unreduced. Chaldean assigns 1–8 only — nine is held apart and given to no letter — and treats the two-digit compound number as carrying meaning of its own.
The same name scores differently in each. KRISHNA is 35 in Pythagorean and 19 in Chaldean. A Pythagorean 35 read against a Chaldean meaning is arithmetically fine and means nothing in either tradition, so EnteAstro never mixes them and always names which system produced a number.
The Life Path, and where practitioners disagree
Two methods are in circulation: sum every digit of the date at once, or reduce month, day and year separately and then add. They give different answers. EnteAstro uses the component method — the one the major modern authorities set out, and the only one that can surface a master number in a component — and shows the working, so somebody taught the other way can see exactly where the two part.
Names in Malayalam and other scripts
Neither system assigns a value to anything outside A–Z. EnteAstro will not silently transliterate a Malayalam or Devanagari name and then treat the result as exact — it asks you to confirm the transliteration you want used, and records what you approved.
It is likewise honest about Y, which functions as a vowel in some names and a consonant in others with no rule that settles it. EnteAstro treats it as a consonant and says so, because the choice changes the Soul Urge and Personality numbers.
